Dr Carol R. Glass is a Professor Emerita of Psychology at The Catholic University of America in Washington DC, where she is Director of the Mindfulness & Sport Lab. A Clinical Psychologist, she is one of the Mindful Sport Performance Enhancement (MSPE®) developers and Chief Operating Officer at the MSPE Institute, which is dedicated to training, research and consulting.

Dr Glass has actively conducted research for more than 40 years, focusing on topics such as sports psychology, mindfulness, anxiety, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychotherapy integration. She has a special interest in mental training for athletes and coaches using mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches to promote peak performance.

Dr Glass has written over 125 articles and book chapters and co-authored a book with her MSPE Institute partners, Keith Kaufman and Tim Pineau. In addition, she served on the editorial boards of Cognitive Therapy and Research and the Journal of Psychotherapy Integration for over two decades.

A founding fellow of the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies, she is also on the Advisory Board of the Society for the Exploration of Psychotherapy Integration, where she served on the Steering Committee for over 25 years.
