Dr Shireen Rizvi is a clinical psychologist and researcher interested in how Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) can be applied to shame and assist several disorders. She is a professor of clinical psychology, director of the DBT Clinic and clinical associate of psychiatry at Rutgers University. Dr Rizvi spent five years under the mentorship of Dr Marsha Linehan, the creator of DBT, as part of her doctorate. Her recent book, Chain Analysis in Dialectical Behavior Therapy provides expert guidance on conducting chains effectively and overcoming obstacles.
