Dr Howard Kassinove is Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Hofstra University, New York where he was the founder and Director of the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Anger and Aggression. With more than 40 years of experience as both a scientist and a clinical practitioner, he is an expert in anger and aggression management.

Dr Kassinove has more than 250 research articles, chapters and presentations to his credit. He recently co-authored two books with Dr R Chip Tafrate. The practitioner's guide to anger management and Anger management for everyone present the SMART (Selection Menu for Anger Reduction Treatment) Anger Management program they developed.

He is board-certified as a Clinical Psychologist, and a Cognitive and Behavioral Psychologist (ABPP). Dr Kassinove’s outstanding contributions have led him to be honored as a fellow of the American Psychological Association in four divisions, a fellow of the Association for Psychological Science, and a fellow of the Albert Ellis Institute for Rational Emotive Therapy.

Dr Kassinove is a highly sought-after national and international speaker who has given many invited lectures in Argentina, India, Korea, Romania, and Russia. In 2017 he was awarded the prestigious Elizabeth Hurlock Beckman Award for outstanding mentorship.
