Dr Francis T. McAndrew is recognized worldwide as one of the leading minds in environmental and evolutionary psychology. He is currently the Cornelia H. Dudley Professor of Psychology at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.

Dr McAndrew studies human social behavior from an evolutionary perspective – particularly the psychology of everyday life, with an emphasis on aggression, gossip and creepiness. His research continues to be topical, contemporary and in touch with the zeitgeist.

Author of the acclaimed and widely translated book Environmental Psychology, Dr McAndrew also maintains a popular blog for Psychology Today Magazine. His essays have become standard teaching tools and they are widely used in high school and college psychology and writing classes.

Dr McAndrew’s research has been featured by major media outlets such as The New Yorker, Time, The New York Times, the BBC, The Atlantic and The Wall Street Journal; his work has even been spoofed by comedians Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien.
