Dr Kamilla Venner is a clinical psychologist and associate professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of New Mexico. Her research targets substance use-related health disparities for American Indian/Alaskan Natives. Through community partnerships, Dr Venner has facilitated cultural adaptations for evidence-based treatments, including Motivational Interviewing and CRAFT. With expertise in implementation science, she is paving the way to a greater understanding and treatment of Substance Use Disorders for Native Americans.
