Dr Penelope Hasking is a professor of psychology at Curtin University, Western Australia. Her research focuses on Non-suicidal Self-injury, particularly among young people. Dr Hasking is the co-founder of the International Consortium on Self-injury in Educational Settings and president of the International Society for the Study of Self-injury. Her work takes a person-centered approach aimed at helping young people who self-injure, their carers and personnel in educational institutions.
