Professor Zindel V. Segal is a world-leading clinical psychologist. He is best known for his research into the use of mindfulness meditation for people suffering from depression, anxiety and related disorders. A true innovator and pioneer, Professor Segal is one of the developers of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), which combines Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) with the practice of mindfulness meditation.

Professor Segal is a Distinguished Professor of Psychology in Mood Disorders at the University of Toronto. He is the co-author of the books Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavior Therapy For Depression, The Mindful Way Workbook, and The Mindful Way Through Depression.

Professor Segal has delivered lectures and talks in many settings across the world, and in 2014 gave an immensely popular TEDx talk on mindfulness and depression. His work has been featured by mainstream media outlets such as The Washington Post, CBC, The Guardian, The New York Times and others.
