Dr Benjamin Greenberg is a leading expert in the treatment of anxiety, stress and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). He is a Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School, Brown University, Adjunct Ryan Research Professor of Neuroscience, and a leading member of the OCD Research Group at the Butler Hospital.
Dr Greenberg’s primary research has involved developing surgical and noninvasive treatments for patients with neuropsychiatric disorders. He has led several clinical trials including a study of deep brain stimulation for treatment-resistant OCD, and an investigation into the neurobiology of OCD. Dr Greenberg’s cutting edge research has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals such as the American Journal of Psychiatry and JAMA Psychiatry.
Alongside Dr Greenberg’s teaching and research roles, he is the Associate Director for the Center for Neurorestoration & Neurotechnology (CfNN), an organization that develops and implements neurotechnologies and other therapies to relieve suffering for Veterans.
Dr Greenberg’s work focuses on testing device-based treatments in chronic pain, PTSD, as well as OCD and Tourette syndrome. He has been recognized on the list of Best Doctors In America.
